Identity Crisis. share or not to share.

Now I am a person who likes to share. Reason, copyright, there is no way you can control it. People play the songs of other artists at their weddings and in their night clubs. They are all over the world, in the backstreets, in theaters, on side walks, at home. They play it on their radios they download them from web sites. So share, that way, you do not have hypertension whether someone is robbing your song. They will rob your song, nowadays, what do they not rob? Your wife? Your husband. But on the latter two I do not promote sharing. A bit old fashioned in that quarter. So if they bug off with someone else. Wish them well, sue them for alimony and get on with your life. Regarding songs, I am a creator of music and they are original. However, it does not bring me money, and that way, yes, it does cost me money.

Then knowledge. I am an English teacher. My income is from teaching. Then I am a sucker for a lost cause, the education of kids in Sri Lanka, so I find that on my English tutor Andy web page on face book, which has so many kids who may or may not be using appalling English, I may have to teach! Do I teach them there? No. I cannot afford to because that is my income, but if a poser is put to me, it is answered fairly and squarely with the correct use of grammar. That is where the identity crisis comes in. What do I do? Have you often been faced with such a question? Ethical vales, moral mores and an empty purse? Yes that's me. And as usual, I am a person who believes that creativity is a definite plus for poverty. If you are poor, you generally become creative, in finding your next meal, on doing something totally outrageous that costs you the earth and you only have a grain of sand to sponsor it, but you do a bit of juggling here and there and you achieve your objective, because it is generally gendered towards the greater good.

Now even if you take the dating sites out there, where people meet and congregate of an evening and its all blah and blabber and not anything spectacular or interesting, but it does keep you occupied, on the web, in your chair, and the sedentary lifestyles which are so deleterious to your health, that's sharing too. Sharing your time with other lonely hearts and taking them for a jolly good ride on misery if you are not honest and don't let on that you may be married, may be just shopping around for a bit of dalliance on the net, a bit of perve and not really wanting a commitment because you like to be entertained, and who's to know the difference. Nobody.

This is the problem with global-ity there's nobody to really know the veracity of what they are getting into. It therefore means, honesty, trust, confidence, and the decency of good people, and being the way I am, I think that the better part of us, are the latter. Altruist and stupid? Yes, But happy. Out of there and not join the dating clubs. Share and hope for the best. I remain very rigid on the husband and wife thing though!

English Tutor Andy on face book

I talk about the situation in Sri lanka about children being deprived of a good education.I am then sent a Care2 message about the children in the USA being subject to deprivation via having to pay for tutors and the loans that they take and the repayments they have to make and finally the desperate attempts at having to pay back the sums from the banks merely to support them through their educational years which do not even guarantee them a future in their chosen specialty because they are jobless.

Now my battle here is different but the same in that there are several school island wide which are "International schools" where the fees are treble the cost of a regular school and the home for the foreign students who come to sri lanka via their parents on jobs. The best they can get, if they are really weak in English, is a glorified "Certificate of effort" which means the child has been consistent in her attendance and a punctual person, but it does not give her/him entrance into the university.

Therefore I have created a webpage on facebook to advise the children at least those who are on face book, the mothers of children, the expectant mothers and those who are in the trade that they should be teaching the children correct English in schools so that they won't need tutors. Therefore I decided to go public, to advise the foreign children that sri Lanka can be good port of call for a cheaper education than world wide, and that hopefully, they could come to someone who could guide them in the correct choice of a tutor. Oh well, not me per se, but the first link as myself.  The first is more of a travel/holiday brochure because there is very little that a teacher can say about herself and the role of teacher to kids. They hate them all to begin with :). So the negatives have to be overcome with fun and laughter.  The second is my page to do so.

A tune widget code.. and how !

The following is the code generated to create a new tune widget for some music on a good website which provides downloads, a free DJ and you can create your own playlists, the problem is that one never knows where to post them on your own "wall" unless you are a computer programmer and creating your own web page. The reason for the latter is that you are on the poor side of nowhere and your daughter or cousin has given you their cast off machines, which seem to work wonders when they become yours. Take camera's from ex husbands for example, they work perfectly in your hands, and you are creating almost everything from video clips to fancy photography, though he complains that his photographs and movies via the "Canon" were pink and grey, while yours are all green and blue because your pics are mainly of country and people and animals and nice things, while his are all night clubs and gorgeous two legged creatures. It's no wonder their cameras never work!. The pics they take literally crack the lens (Hoot!). So now, you can take this code and if you are good enough, you will have a free DJ for your parties with downloads with which you can then create your own playlists. Good luck.. Its an introduction to 2.4 million new artists, composers and lyricists who rank number 1 in the world and are not known elsewhere on the web.

Old age, failing eyesight and blogs and computers

I am very young at heart. I just wish that my body would keep up with my mind. So the spectacles have got a bit thicker, and they will get a lot thicker as the years go on. However, the spam check codes are not getting any easier to read. I sometimes wonder whether they were purposely made to restrict the oldies from becoming more computer literate? The modern age of technology thus controlling your activities and forcing you to leave your seat where you would be creating blogs instead of taking a walk out into the country and exercising the aging limbs. You would be calling your friends on the phone because you cannot read the verification codes to send them an email because some "thing" has triggered the spam filter.  Then you forget your password so you obligingly get the dual method of getting a reminder and you have forgotten where you have left your phone, so you have to scout around for the phone at which time, the time bar has made you have to log in again, and the phone that you find has obligingly gone dead and needs a recharge. One aspect of old age is infinite patience, but even that wears a bit thin when the same procedure has to be gone through at least twice over before you finally get it correct. So here am I trying to get a tune widget from my music website where I rank number one saved on blogger, where this is, and the "post fails" repeatedly on Blogger,  but I can post a blog about it, using the same password which accesses all the info on google. So in the interests of the public and the aging populace, I would respectfully ask Google to please get this blooger business booted up, because its blood and bore while belittling the mind because the blasted buzzwords do not work!.

Google and Different Accounts :).

Quite frankly I think this google account needs to be tidied up totally. Because blooger goes through google, then other things go through google like orkut. And you try to enter your blogger account using the google password to post a widget on your wall via www.reverbnation.com/taba and the widget fails because you have a password problem. then youtube is linked here as well. So all in all, you think you are doing a great job with Google, but in fact, you end up having a complete mess with all the accounts.. I would really recommend to google that they keep the passwords unique for each of their additions and allow that to happen with their different facilities :)..

Welcome to www.reverbnation.com/taba

a newie to the music industry and its not for cash or shows, its for sharing music. I would be fascinated to know whether the instrumentalists like myself are heard or is it all about voices :). I play every genre of music, I think, because I do not know what Genre I play. Everyone likes my music though!.
